Americans will experience a form of mental illness in their lives; personally or indirectly, we have all been touched by mental illness in some way. NAMI, the National Alliance on Mental Illness, is the largest education, support and advocacy organization in the nation that serves the needs of all whose lives are affected by these illnesses. I have personally benefited from the strides that organizations like NAMI have made, and I am living a healthy and happy life because of it.
